For starters my girlfriend's parents came by with a shovel... so it was not necessary for me to take the 10 minute walk to their place... a good start.
Secondly the weather was perfect.. a mere -3/-4 degrees.
To top it all off the snow was not all too compact which meant it was manageable with the shovel.
So in reality, what had the potential to be a real nightmare ended up being a pleasant little work-out of not more than 40 minutes, for both myself and my girlfriend.
The work-out also provided an unexpected physical benefit as can be seen in the photos bellow.
